With global rates of cancer on the rise people are seeking out alternative treatments, one of which is IVC (Intravenous Vitamin C) therapy.

Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) as a non-toxic chemotherapeutic drug is still new information to both cancer patients and doctors today, despite 40 years of research.  Specifically in the past 15 years, high-dose intravenous vitamin C is actually a common form of alternative and complementary therapy for patients receiving conventional cancer treatments.

National Institutes of Health has published evidence demonstrating vitamin C’s ability to:

–          Control cancer

–          Reduce risk

–          Shrink/kill cancer cells

–          Significantly improve fatigue

–          Improve Cognitive Function, pain and emotional status.

The simplest explanation I have found to explain the mechanism is that high-dose intravenous vitamin C will selectively build up as peroxide in cancer cells to the point of acting in a manner similar to chemotherapy, while not harming the healthy cells.

HOPE:

Despite the ongoing controversy that Vitamin C administered through IV is an effective cancer treatment, the varied opinions amongst the top Cancer Researchers worldwide only reinforces how critical continued research is to finding a cure.

Vitamin C may not be a cure for all cancers, but has the benefits of being safe and relatively inexpensive.  Therefore, in my humble opinion, a multi-approach in combining alternative and conventional cancer therapies has only upside.  If there is a chance while undergoing chemotherapy to experience prolonged survival, improved quality of life, and reduce adverse effects of conventional cancer therapies…  Hopefully, people will choose to explore alternative options in their cancer therapy.  After all, the ultimate decision regarding patient care lies in the hands of each patient.
